Kata Guruma Uke greift Tori in der normalen Kumi Kata an und beginnt mit einem rechten Schritt. Tori greift während des zweiten Schleppschrittes von innen mit der linken Hand in Ukes Innenseite des Oberarms. Nach dem dritten Schleppschritt ladet Tori für Kata Guruma auf und wirft in der Zugrichtung ab. Wichtig dabei ist die Körperspannung von Uke. Uke erhebt sich und geht in die richtige Position, es folgt die linke Ausführung der Technik.
